Budapest: Preparation rather agent sbobet than experimentation will be the focus for Australia’s final warm-up match before the World Cup, with coach Bert van Marwijk preferring to fine tune their tactical set-up in Sunday morning’s clash with Hungary.
The Socceroos have prepared minimally for their clash against the Magyars at the Groupama Arena in Budapest, with their focus already on their opening World Cup group stage match against France in a week’s time. The Socceroos have only had short analysis sessions on Hungary, preferring instead to work on their tactical set-up for how they face Les Blues.
"That's the most important at this moment, it’s all about France. Those things come after the game. I want everybody to concentrate on that game, everybody. He, him, the players, everybody, the chairman, the directors, everybody. I don’t want to talk about other games," van Marwijk said.
It means Sunday morning’s game (1.30am AEST) will provide the clearest view yet as to how Australia will play at the World Cup in Russia under the guidance of van Marwijk. Against Hungary, the side will retain its 4-2-3-1 formation, and likely keep key players such as Trent Sainsbury, Aaron Mooy, Matt Leckie and Tom Rogic in the starting team. Arriving at the tournament with in superb form is right back Josh Risdon who, after receiving a glowing report from van Marwijk following the Czech Republic friendly, is another likely to be given a start alongside left-sided fullback Aziz Behich.
There will be game time for the likes of captain Mile Jedinak and Tomi Juric, both are strong agent sbobet chances to start, while Daniel Arzani is in line to make his second appearance for the national team off the bench.
While Mat Ryan will undoubtedly by Australia’s first choice heading into the World Cup, van Marwijk has revealed little about whether he will give Brad Jones or Danny Vukovic any further exposure with game time against Hungary.
"We’ve been preparing as best we can for the first game against France," Vukovic said. "We prepare just as if we’re playing and we’ll see what happens. That’s all you can really do when you have a coach who doesn’t really tell you much and keeps you on your toes."
Attacking midfielder Rogic says the Socceroos are on the right path but need to fine tune their overall play before Russia.
“I think we can become better at all areas but we’re certainly making progress and that’s exciting," he said. "It’s been a rather short period and obviously there isn’t much longer to go before our first match but we’re learning every day and it’s becoming more clear the way we’re playing, the style, the philosophy that the coaches want."
“The system so far has seemed really good in that the way it’s working for us. agent sbobet We had a taste of what it’s like for the Czech Republic game but it’s still early and we can still become much better than that."
